Research Scientist, California

Job Summary

To support innovative AI research, the full-time remote Research Scientist, California will independently manage research projects, develop methodologies, and analyze data to generate insights that drive the next generation of human-centered AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous client questions into clear research proposals and methodologies
• Design human-data collection strategies and evaluation protocols across multimodal domains
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to produce actionable insights and client-ready reports

Required qualifications

• 3-5+ years of relevant research experience with a Master's, PhD, or equivalent in HCI, Human-Centered AI, ML, or design research
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, particularly in human evaluation and experimentation
• Proven ability to independently design and execute rigorous research methodologies
• Experience analyzing data using Python and/or SQL
• Comfortable operating independently in ambiguous environments while maintaining research rigor
