Research Scientist I

Job Summary

To support the Evidence & Strategy Practice, the full-time Research Scientist I will perform data management and statistical analysis, develop analytic-ready datasets, and contribute to research processes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data management activities to generate analytic-ready datasets using SQL and/or SAS
• Conduct descriptive and basic statistical analyses using large patient and claims databases to support economic modeling
• Independently manage workflow and contribute to the development of concept proposals and analysis plans

Required qualifications

• BA/BS or higher in computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics, data science, epidemiology, or a related discipline
• 3+ years of SAS or SQL programming experience in a work setting
• Experience analyzing large administrative pharmacy and medical claims databases
• Working knowledge of basic statistical techniques and econometric skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a remote/hybrid environment with strong teamwork skills
