Research Scientist in AI Systems

Job Summary

To advance frontier AI through data and environment creation, the hybrid Research Scientist in AI Systems will design and optimize reusable pipelines, conduct rigorous experiments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform research prototypes into reliable production workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize reusable pipelines that integrate AI capabilities with expert judgment
• Conduct experiments to validate approaches and measure their impact on data quality and model performance
• Collaborate with engineering, data operations, and domain experts to develop reliable production workflows

Required Qualifications

• Strong research background in AI, machine learning, NLP, or related fields
• Experience in building environments for AI agents and automated research workflows
• Familiarity with synthetic data generation, human-in-the-loop workflows, or reinforcement learning
• Strong experimental design skills and experience with software engineering best practices
• Ph.D. in machine learning, NLP, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
