Job Summary
Leading the development of innovative modeling approaches for power utilization, the full-time Research Scientist, Infrastructure Modeling will create statistical and machine learning models to monitor power consumption and inform infrastructure planning decisions in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Define the scientific and technical strategy for modeling power consumption and reliability tradeoffs across large-scale infrastructure systems
- Develop statistical, machine learning, and optimization models to forecast power demand and support operational decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate model outputs into infrastructure planning and utilization strategies
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in developing statistical, machine learning, or quantitative modeling systems
- Experience leading cross-functional technical programs from problem definition to model deployment
- Proficiency in coding with Python, R, C++, Java, or similar languages for data analysis and modeling
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field
- Experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
