Residential Technical Designer
Job Summary
To support a growing residential design team, the full-time Residential Technical Designer will develop technical designs, edit architectural drawings, and collaborate with project teams to ensure quality and compliance with budgetary and aesthetic requirements, with the flexibility to work remotely or from office locations.
Key responsibilities
- Develops technical designs and edits architectural drawings to meet project quality parameters and timelines
- Performs design activities including programming, code research, and site surveys
- Coordinates with contractors, sub-consultants, and building authorities to address construction-related issues
Required qualifications
- Experience in all phases of the project cycle
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes
- Completion of related post-secondary education
- 4-8 years of project work experience, preferably in residential projects
