Revenue Cycle Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure timely reimbursement, the full-time Revenue Cycle Billing Specialist will manage follow-up on Professional and Hospital Billing claims, resolve unpaid and underpaid claims, and drive reimbursement efforts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and follow up on outstanding PB and HB claims, investigating and resolving issues with insurance providers
• Submit appeals and reconsiderations for claims, adhering to payer-specific deadlines and requirements
• Utilize Epic and payer portals to document follow-up activities and verify claim statuses

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, claims processing, or accounts receivable follow-up
• Demonstrated experience with PB and HB claim follow-up processes
• Prior experience using Epic for billing and follow-up strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payers preferred
