Revenue Cycle Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare network, the full-time Revenue Cycle Specialist will manage payment discrepancies and account resolutions primarily within Athenahealth, ensuring accuracy and integrity of patient accounts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and account variances to maintain accurate account balances
• Work through assigned Athenahealth worklists to review patient accounts and determine appropriate resolutions
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and payers to address complex account issues and support process improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or a related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret payment activity and identify discrepancies
• Experience with payment posting, reconciliation, and refunds preferred
