Revenue Cycle Specialist
Job Summary
To enhance the accuracy and integrity of patient accounts, the full-time Revenue Cycle Specialist will research and resolve payment discrepancies, perform detailed account analysis, and collaborate with various stakeholders while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and account variances to ensure accurate account balances
- Work within Athenahealth to review patient accounts and determine appropriate resolutions based on payment activity
- Verify deposits and reconcile payment activity utilizing various portals and reporting systems
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or related fields
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Ability to interpret payment activity and identify discrepancies
- Experience working with Athenahealth is preferred
