Revenue Recovery Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Revenue Recovery Specialist will effectively manage clinical denials by generating revenue through professional billing practices, drafting appeals, and utilizing web-based client and payer portals to resolve outstanding hospital bills without collecting from patients.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on patient bills and claims using the Artiva workflow management system to recover revenue from various business entities
• Analyze denied or unpaid claims to identify root causes and determine necessary next steps for resolution
• Ensure timely filing guidelines are met and escalate complex accounts to management for effective progression

Required qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in drafting and submitting appeals with supporting documentation to overturn claim denials
• High level of professionalism and adherence to debt collection rules and HIPAA requirements
• Moderate computer proficiency, including knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong organization and documentation skills for timely follow-up and accurate record keeping
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD coding is preferred
