Reverse Mortgage Underwriter
Job Summary
To support a growing operations team, the full-time Remote Reverse Mortgage Underwriter will accurately evaluate and underwrite HECM reverse mortgage loan files in accordance with company policy and FHA guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate risk based on HECM FHA guidelines and company policies
- Review loan files, including title and appraisal reports, to set terms for approval or identify rejection reasons
- Communicate loan decisions effectively to sales channels and management as needed
Required qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in mortgage loan underwriting
- Experience with reverse mortgages is a plus
- FHA Direct Endorsement strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products
