Job Summary
To support the design and optimization of SmartGrid communication networks, the remote RF Design Engineer will manage network design assessments, troubleshoot performance issues, and utilize RF propagation tools while working full-time on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Design and evaluate new SmartGrid network configurations and optimize existing networks
- Analyze network statistics and drive-test data to identify and resolve performance issues
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to assess the impact of new features on network design
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 5-10 years of experience designing SmartGrid or cellular communication networks
- Proficiency in RF propagation and planning tools such as Planet and MapInfo
- Experience with SQL and Aqua Data Studio
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
