Rheumatology Medical Director

Job Summary

Providing clinical leadership and direct patient care, the full-time Rheumatology Medical Director will oversee the autoimmune care program, delivering consultative services and managing a multidisciplinary team while ensuring clinical quality and safety in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct consultative care to members with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, including initial and follow-up visits
• Build and manage staffing models and clinical workflows to support a growing clinical team
• Serve as supervising physician of record, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and oversight of complex member cases

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted medical license(s) and board certification in Rheumatology (ABIM)
• Significant clinical experience managing patients with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions
• Experience supervising or collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams
• Strong understanding of virtual/telehealth care delivery models
• Excellent ability to translate clinical protocols into actionable guidance for non-physician team members
