RHIT Data Integrity Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure the accuracy of electronic health records, the full-time remote RHIT Data Integrity Specialist will manage data entry investigations, correct documentation issues, and coordinate with clinical departments to maintain patient safety and compliance with policies.

Key responsibilities

• Corrects and resolves documentation issues within clinical systems to maintain accurate health records
• Facilitates the correction process by coordinating with interdisciplinary teams and ensuring timely resolution of data quality issues
• Acts as a liaison to communicate and rectify charting errors between patients, clinicians, and staff

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma required; advanced degree preferred
• RHIT credential (or eligibility) preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute hospital patient record integrity roles
• Proven track record in HIM operations and chart correction processes
• Successful completion of a basic Medical terminology course required; knowledge of anatomy and physiology preferred
