Job Summary

To support patient access to medications, the remote Rhode Island Licensed Pharmacy Technician will manage prior authorization requests, assist patients with insurance claims, and secure financial assistance while collaborating with healthcare providers and pharmacies.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with insurance companies to facilitate medication approvals and assist patients with pharmacy insurance claims
• Navigate pharmacy operating systems to input data, process refills, and support medication adherence through direct patient communication
• Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records while participating in process improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Active Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician license
• PTCB or NHA national certification
• Commitment to obtaining any additional required licensure within an agreed-upon timeframe
