Job Summary
To support a high-volume call center environment, the full-time Remote Pharmacy Technician will manage inbound calls regarding prior authorization status, document interactions accurately, and navigate multiple systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
Key responsibilities
- Handle high-volume inbound calls from members, providers, and pharmacies regarding prior authorization status
- Document approvals/denials and call notes clearly and accurately during calls
- Support criteria-based prior authorization workflows and route clinical questions to the appropriate clinical team
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (verifiable)
- 1+ year of high-volume inbound call center experience (healthcare, insurance, PBM, pharmacy, medical office, or similar preferred)
- Pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred; active Pharmacy Tech license/certification/trainee license is a plus
- Strong computer skills and accurate data entry; comfortable multitasking on dual systems while on calls
- Work-from-home readiness: private HIPAA-compliant workspace and hardwired internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload)
