Job Summary
To support pharmacy operations, the part-time Rhode Island Licensed Pharmacy Technician will manage incoming calls regarding prior authorizations, maintain accurate documentation, and coordinate administrative activities in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls from members and providers, assisting with the prior authorization process
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of approvals and denials
- Transfer clinical questions to the pharmacist as needed
Required qualifications
- Verifiable High School diploma or GED
- Active Pharmacy Technician license, certification, or Trainee license preferred
- At least one year of experience in a pharmacy technician role
- Ability to work assigned shifts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM CT, Monday through Friday
- Access to a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace with a hardwired internet connection
