Job Summary

To support patient access to medications, the remote Patient Support Advocate position for a Rhode Island Licensed Pharmacy Technician will manage prior authorization processes, assist with financial assistance coordination, and navigate pharmacy operations while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with insurance companies to facilitate medication approvals through prior authorizations
• Assist patients in accessing financial assistance and navigate pharmacy operating systems for claims and refills
• Document patient communications and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely medication therapy

Required qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Rhode Island State Registered and/or State Certified Pharmacy Technician
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience with insurance claims, medication access, or pharmacy operations preferred
• National certification (CPhT or equivalent) is strongly preferred but not required
