Job Summary

Handling inbound calls and assisting with the prior authorization process, the remote Pharmacy Technician I in Rhode Island will manage documentation, communicate with providers and pharmacies, and ensure compliance with health privacy standards during a primarily Monday-Friday schedule from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM CST.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous assistance through the prior authorization process via inbound and outbound calls
• Document reviews accurately and maintain complete records of all interactions
• Collaborate with internal teams on determination status and clinical inquiries, escalating issues to pharmacists as necessary

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED verifiable
• Active pharmacy technician license or national certification (preferred, not required)
• Ability to manage work volume efficiently while maintaining professionalism
• Familiarity with compliance standards for health privacy and Protected Healthcare Information (PHI)
• Availability for mandatory overtime as needed
