Risk Data Scientist

Job Summary

To support effective risk management, the full-time Risk Data Scientist will research, model, implement, and validate algorithms using diverse data sources while mentoring junior team members and managing multiple projects, with opportunities for remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Mentors and guides junior risk data scientists
• Plans and manages multiple concurrent projects to solve complex business problems
• Builds and validates machine learning and AI models while leveraging Big Data technologies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with six years or Master's degree with four years or Ph.D. with four years of experience in a quantitative/analytical/STEM field
• Two years of hands-on experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
• Three years of experience with statistical and predictive modeling concepts
• Three years of programming experience analyzing large datasets using tools like Python or R
• Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and data visualization tools
