Job Summary
Partnering with healthcare professionals, the full-time RN Licensed CDI Specialist will review medical records, craft physician queries, and educate providers on documentation best practices in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Review inpatient medical records to identify documentation gaps and improvement opportunities
- Craft compliant physician queries to clarify diagnoses and clinical indicators
- Educate and coach providers on documentation best practices and regulatory requirements
Required qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Nursing, HIM, or a related healthcare field
- 3+ years of clinical experience in acute care settings
- 2+ years of CDI experience with concurrent review and physician querying
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Strong knowledge of CMS, AHIMA, and ACDIS standards
