RN Telephonic Case Manager
Job Summary
To support injured employees in their recovery, the full-time RN Telephonic Case Manager will work remotely, conducting clinical assessments, coordinating medical services, and advocating for effective treatment while leveraging their nursing expertise and prior workers' compensation experience.
Key responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing clinical assessments via telephone to evaluate the injured worker's needs and treatment progress
- Communicate effectively with claims examiners, clients, and medical providers to build relationships and facilitate care
- Identify and address issues related to delayed recovery and negotiate treatment plans in accordance with medical guidelines
Required qualifications
- Current unrestricted RN license in a state or territory of the United States
- 1.5 years of prior experience in workers' compensation
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred or equivalent work experience
- Certification in case management, rehabilitation nursing, or a related specialty is highly preferred
