Robotics Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Robotics Automation Group, the full-time Robotics Software Engineer will develop embedded software for controlling robot motion, design motion control systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on product features while working in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for new and legacy robotics products, focusing on motion control and diagnostics
- Design and optimize robot motion capabilities, including trajectory generation and performance tuning
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define software requirements and ensure high-quality software through best practices
Required qualifications
- Proficiency in programming with C++11 or later
- Experience with embedded real-time systems in multi-threaded environments, such as QNX or Real-Time Linux
- Familiarity with robotics software development and industrial control systems
- Experience with EtherCAT software stacks or distributed control systems
- Knowledge of modern software development practices, ideally in an Agile environment
