ROI Medical Records Specialist

Job Summary

Processing release of information requests efficiently, the full-time ROI Medical Records Specialist will ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing excellent customer service in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Completes release of information requests by retrieving, scanning, and transmitting medical records according to established procedures
• Validates requests and authorizations for medical information release, performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and confidentiality
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area while providing proactive customer service and addressing client concerns

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma (GED) required
• A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred
• Strong computer software experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to type 50 words per minute
• Proven customer satisfaction skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
