Job Summary

Processing release of information requests efficiently, the full-time remote ROI Medical Records Specialist will ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing exceptional customer service and safeguarding patient privacy.

Key responsibilities:

• Completes and validates release of information requests, ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards
• Performs quality checks on work to guarantee accuracy and confidentiality of medical records
• Maintains a clean work environment and operates equipment effectively while providing attentive customer service

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma (GED) required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to type 50 words per minute
• Proven customer satisfaction skills and ability to multi-task
