ROI Medical Records Specialist

Job Summary

Processing release of information requests efficiently, the full-time ROI Medical Records Specialist will ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing exceptional customer service in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Completes release of information requests by retrieving and scanning medical records accurately
• Validates requests and authorizations for medical information release in accordance with established procedures
• Maintains confidentiality and security of patient information while providing excellent customer service

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma (GED) required
• A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred
• Strong computer software experience, with a general working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to type 50 wpm and use fax, copier, and scanning machines
• Proven customer satisfaction skills and excellent organizational abilities
