Job Summary

Processing release of information requests, the full-time ROI Medical Records Specialist will ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing exceptional customer service in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Completes and processes release of information requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures
• Validates requests and authorizations, performing quality checks to maintain confidentiality and proper invoicing
• Provides excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and proactively identifying client concerns

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) required
• A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred
• Strong computer software experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to type 50 wpm and use office equipment such as fax, copier, and scanning machines
• Self-motivated team player with proven customer satisfaction skills
