ROI Medical Records Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for processing release of information requests, the full-time ROI Medical Records Specialist will ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing high-quality customer service in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Completes release of information requests, including retrieving and scanning medical records accurately
• Validates requests and authorizations, performing quality checks to ensure confidentiality and proper invoicing
• Maintains equipment and a clean work area while providing attentive customer service and addressing client concerns

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma (GED) required
• A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred
• Strong computer software experience, with general knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to type 50 wpm and proficient in using fax, copier, and scanning machines
• Must be self-motivated, a team player, and possess proven customer satisfaction skills
