Job Summary

Processing release of information requests, the full-time ROI Medical Records Specialist will ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations while delivering high-quality customer service in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Complete release of information requests by retrieving and scanning medical records according to established procedures
• Validate requests and authorizations for the release of medical information, performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and confidentiality
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and maintaining a professional work environment

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma (GED) required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
• Proven customer satisfaction skills and ability to multi-task effectively
