Ruby on Rails Developer
Job Summary
To support a dedicated client project, the full-time Ruby on Rails Developer will design, build, and maintain full-stack features across a Rails back end and Vue.js front end in a 100% remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain features in a Ruby on Rails application, including models, controllers, and APIs
- Develop responsive front-end components in Vue.js and connect them to Rails through REST or GraphQL APIs
- Write automated tests and maintain high coverage on new code while monitoring and fixing production issues
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience building web applications with Ruby on Rails
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Vue.js, preferably with Vue 3 and the Composition API
- Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL, and with ActiveRecord
- Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience with automated testing and test-driven development methodologies
