Leading a team of Sales Engineers, the remote Sales Engineering Manager will mentor staff, engage in technical sales discussions, and develop integration solutions while maintaining a deep understanding of the company's products and APIs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Sales Engineers, setting expectations for technical proficiency and performance
- Participate in technical discovery and integration discussions alongside the team to support sales efforts
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Revenue teams to design effective merchant solutions and address integration challenges
Required qualifications
- BA/BS degree in business or technology
- 4-6+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or a comparable technical role, with 3-4 years in people management
- Proven track record of developing technical talent and holding teams accountable for results
- Practical experience with API-based integrations and proficiency in at least one programming language
- Strong technical judgment with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable integration recommendations
