Sanctions Compliance Officer

Job Summary

To build and lead a comprehensive sanctions compliance program, the full-time Sanctions Compliance Officer will manage the operational screening function, ensuring effective implementation of U.S. economic sanctions requirements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance the sanctions compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and governance
• Serve as the primary sanctions subject matter expert, translating regulatory requirements into operational controls
• Build and lead a sanctions team responsible for executing the screening framework and managing sanctions alerts

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in sanctions, financial crimes, AML, or related compliance roles
• Deep expertise in OFAC regulations and U.S. economic sanctions programs
• Demonstrated experience in building and leading sanctions screening operations within regulated environments
• Hands-on experience with sanctions screening, alert investigation, and operational metrics
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical operational controls and documentation
