SBA Underwriter
Job Summary
Responsible for underwriting and closing support for Small Business Administration loans, the full-time remote SBA Underwriter will analyze credit information, prepare documentation, and ensure compliance with regulations while assisting in the effective operation of the SBA Department.
Key responsibilities
- Determine SBA eligibility on loan requests and prepare financial documentation for various loan types
- Coordinate and prepare all documentation required for SBA applications, including direct interaction with loan applicants
- Assist SBA Relationship Managers in underwriting, processing, and closing SBA loans while providing exemplary customer service
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent experience
- 5 or more years of working knowledge of commercial bank products and commercial credit analysis
- 5 or more years of experience with MS Office applications
- 5 or more years of loan structuring experience with SBA loans
