Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time salaried SBA Underwriter II will manage SBA loan requests by preparing pre-assessments for eligibility, collecting necessary documentation, and analyzing financial statements to ensure compliance with SBA guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze creditworthiness of loan requests by reviewing financial statements and documentation
- Communicate with lenders to determine loan eligibility and assist in structuring loan requests according to SBA guidelines
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to enhance the underwriting process and ensure a smooth transition for borrowers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial loans and/or SBA/USDA loan processing
- Recent underwriting experience in a high-volume environment with comprehensive knowledge of lending regulations
- Strong understanding of SBA loan programs and credit analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with commercial lending systems
