Scala Developer
Job Summary
To support a diverse range of government clients, the mid-level Scala Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain software components while working remotely or in a hybrid environment if located in Maryland.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Scala-based REST APIs according to technical designs and business requirements
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and technical teams to identify design gaps and implement functionality improvements
- Create and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and application reliability
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development and application support
- Strong experience with Scala, Java, and REST API development
- Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development
- Knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and secure coding practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
