Scala Team Lead
Job Summary
Driving technical excellence in a remote full-time role, the Scala Team Lead will manage high-level system design, contribute to hands-on development, and provide technical leadership while mentoring engineers and ensuring adherence to engineering standards.
Key responsibilities
- Own high-level system design and architecture decisions for platform components
- Contribute to critical parts of the system as an Individual Contributor and ensure code quality
- Mentor engineers and assist in defining Personal Development Plans (PDPs)
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including in a senior or lead role
- Proven experience in Scala and Java
- Experience designing and building scalable distributed systems in product-based or B2B environments
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong system design and architectural thinking skills
