Job Summary
To provide comprehensive clinical ambulatory scheduling for providers, the full-time Scheduler - Connecticut Licensed will critically evaluate scheduling requests, manage appointment scheduling using the EPIC system, and ensure excellent service to patients and providers while working remotely within Connecticut.
Key responsibilities
- Answers calls to assess urgency, provides assistance, and directs callers to appropriate resources
- Schedules patient appointments, resolves conflicts, and notifies patients of changes or cancellations
- Builds and modifies provider master schedules and clinic calendars, accommodating various needs and emergencies
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, with two years in the same job family at a lower level, or an Associate degree with two years of experience
- Proven experience in a high-volume healthcare scheduling environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Competence in English language, grammar, and HIPAA compliance
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy phone volume and manage patient interactions effectively
