Scheduler for Healthcare Services

Job Summary

Providing comprehensive clinical ambulatory scheduling for providers, the full-time Scheduler for Healthcare Services will evaluate scheduling requests, manage appointment conflicts, and ensure excellent service to patients and providers while working remotely from Connecticut.

Key responsibilities

• Assess urgency of calls and provide assistance or direct callers to appropriate personnel
• Build and modify provider master schedules, ensuring accurate appointment scheduling and resolving conflicts
• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, and departmental meetings while maintaining patient records and insurance information

Required qualifications

• Four years of related work experience, including two years in a similar role, or an Associate degree with two years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in a high-volume healthcare-related call center or medical practice
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressures
• Competency in English language, grammar, and medical terminology for accurate data entry and communication
• Demonstrated record of exemplary attendance, punctuality, and reliability
