Job Summary

To coordinate efficient patient appointment scheduling for Durable Medical Equipment (DME), Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) devices, and oxygen therapy services, the remote Scheduling Specialist will manage delivery, maintenance, and pickup appointments while providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.

Key responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments for equipment delivery, maintenance, and pickups, ensuring optimal timing and compliance with care plans
  • Manage urgent scheduling requests for critical patient needs, including emergency deliveries and equipment replacements, while maintaining communication with patients and healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and generate performance reports for management review, ensuring adherence to established protocols and compliance with operational standards
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in healthcare scheduling or customer service preferred
  • One (1) year of work-related experience required; additional experience may be necessary for higher specialist levels
  • Advanced proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of DME, PAP, and oxygen therapy equipment and patient care requirements
