Science QA Proofreader
Job Summary
To support a project focused on the ACT, the part-time Science QA Proofreader will review and proofread Science lessons and test items, ensuring alignment with exam standards and accuracy, while working remotely as a 1099 contractor from September 2026 to February 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in project kick-off calls and regular check-ins with the curriculum team to set goals and review progress
- Review sample ACT Science lessons and test items for accuracy, alignment, and pedagogical flow
- Proofread content in Google Slides and Docs, ensuring grammatical correctness and adherence to ACT objectives
Required qualifications
- Deep understanding of secondary Science content
- Experience with the ACT or willingness to learn quickly
- Proficiency in Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Docs, LMS, and Monday.com
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a strong editorial eye
