Scientific Director, Biostatistics

Job Summary

Leading large complex multi-center and multi-protocol clinical trial programs, the full-time Scientific Director, Biostatistics will oversee research initiatives, manage data analysis, and support business development activities while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and innovate all aspects of the Statistical and Data Coordinating Center research program to ensure successful project implementation and data management
• Develop study protocols and provide statistical expertise in design and analysis, leading the creation of manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
• Establish and maintain relationships with external government sponsors and internal executives while supporting corporate initiatives to expand government business

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, or a related field; PhD preferred
• At least 8 years of clinical research experience, with a minimum of 5 years in research portfolio management
• Deep experience leading clinical research projects, particularly in vaccine and infectious disease
• Working knowledge of clinical research management principles
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities
