Job Summary
To assist with project reviews in carbon dioxide removal and reduction technologies, the remote Scientific Project Reviewer will conduct due diligence on client requests, producing reports based on established quality criteria under the supervision of a senior scientist.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of carbon project proposals following a set template
- Collaborate with senior scientists to ensure quality assurance and quality control of reports
- Manage deliverable-based payment schedules based on the complexity of assigned reviews
Required qualifications
- Advanced graduate student status (Masters or PhD) in climate science fields such as forestry, engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or ecology
- Demonstrated interest in carbon project evaluation and climate-related research
- Ability to produce concise reports that meet established quality criteria
- Familiarity with carbon dioxide removal and reduction technologies
- Experience with rigorous QA/QC processes is a plus
