SDK Engineer - Python
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the SDK Engineer - Python will build and evolve the Python SDK for Supabase, focusing on creating intuitive APIs for database, auth, storage, and realtime functions while collaborating with various teams and the open-source community.
Key responsibilities
- Build and evolve the Python SDK with both sync and async APIs
- Identify and implement new features while maintaining existing functionalities
- Manage the typing experience and ensure the SDK is well-documented and user-friendly
Required qualifications
- Deep knowledge of modern Python typing and experience with generics, protocols, and overloads
- Experience authoring or maintaining a published library with a public API
- Familiarity with open-source maintenance including issue triage and release automation
- Proficiency in asyncio and understanding of how to serve both sync and async callers
- Experience with Python packaging and testing methodologies
