Seasonal Admissions Reader

Job Summary

Working remotely on a part-time basis, the Seasonal Application Reader will assist with the holistic review of admissions applications for prospective first-year students, focusing on academic records and personal attributes while maintaining productivity goals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a holistic evaluation of admissions candidates aligned with the mission of Spelman College
• Complete assigned readings and webinars to enhance understanding of HBCUs and holistic admissions practices
• Regularly communicate with the Director of Admissions regarding application review processes and volume

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
• Prior experience in college admissions and holistic application review at a selective institution
• Strong understanding of the Spelman College mission
• Access to a personal computer and a secure internet connection
• Commitment to confidentiality regarding applicant information and review processes
