Secret Cleared Technical Writer

Job Summary

To support a high visibility U.S. Navy prototype initiative, the fully remote CANES Technical Writer (Secret Cleared) will develop, organize, and maintain technical documentation while ensuring alignment with Navy standards for both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the prototype lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, organize, and maintain all technical documentation throughout the prototype lifecycle
• Document system architecture, design decisions, deployment procedures, and testing results
• Translate complex technical inputs into concise, actionable documentation for diverse audiences

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
• 5-8 years of experience in technical writing within a technical, engineering, Navy, or federal environment
• Navy or CANES program experience strongly preferred
• Proven experience developing and editing user manuals, SOPs, and system documentation
• Active Secret Clearance
