Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Security Analyst III, the full-time remote position will manage and optimize Akamai Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Bot Manager Premier (BMP) policies, respond to security incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application security during AWS migration.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the assessment and continuous improvement of Akamai WAF policies against web vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with cloud, application, and security teams to align WAF/BMP configurations with business requirements
- Respond to critical security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures
Required qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) managing Akamai WAF and Bot Manager in complex enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience responding to web application security incidents and tuning Bot Manager policies
- Strong knowledge of web application security threats, particularly OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
- Familiarity with AWS cloud network architectures and hybrid/multi-cloud security postures
- Proficient in log analysis, SIEM integration, and security alert triage
