Security Director

Job Summary

Leading the security team, the full-time salaried Security Director will set priorities, manage engineers and analysts, and drive SOC 2 Type 2 attestation efforts in a 100% remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the security team by setting priorities, hiring, developing, and managing engineers and analysts
• Build and execute the security roadmap in collaboration with the CISO, prioritizing work based on risk
• Oversee the SOC 2 Type 2 attestation process, ensuring continuous evidence collection and compliance with security standards

Required qualifications

• Eight or more years in information security, with at least three years in a leadership role
• Hands-on technical experience in application security and cloud infrastructure
• Direct experience with SOC 2 Type 2 audits or similar attestations
• Proven ability to lead responses to security incidents and coordinate across teams
• Experience collaborating with a CISO or executive on security risk decisions
