Security Director

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Security Director, the full-time remote position will oversee the establishment of a comprehensive security program, including policy creation, incident response, and offensive security, while utilizing AI to enhance security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage the security ownership map in collaboration with Platform Engineering
• Run the security program including policy, risk management, and security awareness training
• Oversee offensive security initiatives, including managing external penetration tests and triaging findings

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of security experience, including leading security initiatives in a small to mid-sized company
• Experience building SOC 2 or HIPAA programs from scratch
• Hands-on expertise in AWS and web application security
• Proven track record securing consumer-facing products at scale
• Familiarity with AI tools and their application in security workflows
