Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support the organization's cybersecurity initiatives, the remote Security Engineer will monitor, assess, and enhance the security of cloud infrastructure, applications, and enterprise systems over a 3-month contract with potential extensions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage vulnerability assessments, incident response, and security operations to protect critical systems
• Implement best practices for securing cloud environments and improving defensive capabilities
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
• Experience with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Strong understanding of network security concepts and cloud security, including AWS and Azure
• Experience investigating security incidents and implementing corrective actions
• Ability to develop and maintain security standards, policies, and documentation
