Security Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a remote team, the full-time Security Engineer will identify, investigate, and respond to threats across the organization, focusing on detection engineering, alert triage, and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Identify detection opportunities and collaborate with the detection infrastructure squad to ensure necessary signals for detection and investigation are available
• Develop, test, tune, and maintain detections across various security-relevant environments, including endpoint and cloud
• Investigate alerts, prioritize security impacts, and build repeatable workflows for incident response and evidence collection

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, or threat detection
• Proficiency with security platforms such as SIEM, EDR, or SOAR
• Experience in coding or using automation platforms for security telemetry analysis, preferably with Python or similar languages
• Familiarity with modern detection-as-code practices, including GitHub and CI/CD
• Experience with major cloud platforms like Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure
