Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Security Engineer for a full-time remote position, responsible for applying risk management principles, maintaining cybersecurity standards, and supporting vulnerability management activities to enhance the organization's security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Apply risk management principles to identify and reduce security risks across various environments
• Monitor alerts and logs from security platforms to identify suspicious activity and support incident response efforts
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to communicate risks and recommend security improvements

Required qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in IT security, cloud security, or security operations
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure security services
• Foundational knowledge of compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS or HIPAA
• Strong written communication skills for documentation and reporting
• Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal oversight
